Ill make a post of how the powell ministry all got started later but for now ill talk about last night. It was really cool. Commodities and backpacks distribution. If you dont know commodities is a monthly distribution of anything food stamps wont buy, like shampoo, soap, house cleaning supplies, etc, for the residents of Powell Apartments. The Backpack distribution we do every year right before school starts. This is where we hand out new backpacks to all the kids that are stuffed with things they will need for the coming school year. We had more people last night than ever before with 35 families receiving commodities and 47 children getting school supplies. AMAZING!!
